A Beautiful Difference

This is a neat photo. I took it while my son and I were taking a walk in our neighborhood's park this past week. As our feet were swishing through the leaves that covered almost every inch of ground in the park, we came upon this scene.  The camera didn't really capture what our eyes saw.  We saw the one green leaf in this photo was THE only green leaf within 20-30 feet in every direction.  I thought surely there could be something to learn from this. I have a few thoughts about this photo, but they don't seem that good to share just yet. So, it's your turn to participate in this blog. Let your creative side work a bit here.
WHAT CAPTION WOULD YOU GIVE THIS PICTURE? AND WHY DO YOU SAY THAT?
IS THERE ANY WISDOM TO GAIN FROM GOD'S CREATION CAPTURED IN THIS PHOTO?

Please leave your thoughts and responses to one or both of these questions in the comments section of this post. Let's see how many DIFFERENT views of this photo can get posted this week.
Blessings,
Becky

  1. This is just on a whim and without much thought, but the first two thoughts that come to mind for me are both from scripture (though I can't remember the exact verses right now)
The first is the idea of being dead. That once we were dead, and we were surrounded by death, and we blended in just like everyone else; until we found Christ and then we were given life (the green of this leaf seems so full of life)
The second idea moves right into that, now that we are alive again, we are different, we've been given new life and we stick out! We're still surrounded by death, but we are now beautiful and bright, radiating life because we have new life in Christ!

  2. Linz and I are on the same page. The first thing I thought of was how Christ makes us alive in a world full of the living dead. 2 Cor 5:14-17 is all about this, "[Christ] died for all, that those who live should no longer live for themselves but for him who died for them and was raised again" (v. 15). So the caption could be "Dead to the world, Alive in Christ" or something as silly as "Want life? Get Christ!"

  3. "Behold. I make all things new." (I'm on the same track with Lynzy and Becca.)

  4. By chance or by design?
    Proverbs 20:24
"How can we understand the road we travel? It is the LORD who directs our steps."
